PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Spalding County Prison is a 61,332 SF dormitory type, minimum security housing unit with indirect supervision from a central control room overlooking six dormitories. The occupancy rate is 384 beds. The facility includes complete food service and laundry operations, a stand alone gymnasium, 14 isolation cells, and other ancillary components for a stand alone operation. Construction is masonry wall bearing with steel roof structure and metal roofing over insulation and a metal deck. Exterior walls are brick.
