PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The new 153,827 SF Valdosta Middle School was constructed on school property adjacent to the existing Middle School. Ongoing school operations and safety requirements were of primary concern in managing the new construction. Phased construction of the new campus included (1) Building of the new academic building; (2) Demolition and disposal of the existing facilities; (3) Building of a new playground, football field, and track. The new campus facilities include a kitchen / cafeteria, home economics classrooms, three classroom wings, a band and choral room, art classroom, a large multi-purpose room, a computer lab, special education classrooms, large teacher workrooms, gymnasium and walking track. This project also included parking and reconfiguration of access drives.
